Bethany-Kris: Worth of Waste (DeLuca Duet #2)

Megjelenés éve: 2017.

Magánkiadás

Sorozat: DeLuca Duet

Fülszöveg: DeLuca Duet, Part Two

The Chicago Mob is the same as it has always been—violent, greedy, and excessive. The Outfit families have turned their backs when they were needed the most one too many times, but Dino DeLuca didn’t expect anything different.

His whole life has been lived for the Outfit—for his family.

He has a whole new set of reasons to live and fight now.

Karen Martin makes Dino change all the rules.

He’s finally ready to show everyone just how much waste is truly worth in the mafia, and just how far one will go for freedom from it all.

He’s learned these lessons well.

Too well.

Author’s Note: The DeLuca Duet is a standalone duet with a HEA ending that can be read independently.

Egészen egyszerűen szóhoz se jutok. Hihetetlen, hogy Bethany-Kris mit művelt le most a lelkemmel. Ha az érzelmeire való kihatást nézzük, egyértelműen ez a legjobb könyve. Nem tudom, mit mondhatnék. Bocsánat, de ez a regény tönkretett. A legszebb módon. Még most is potyognak a könnyeim. De nem minden könny keserű. Ez sem az. Tökéletes lezárása a The Chicago War szériának, valamint Dino és Karen történetének.

Elmondani nem tudom, mennyire szerettem/szeretem ezt a két könyvet. A másodikat különösen. Dino mindig is a szívem közepe volt, és nagyon boldog voltam, mikor kiderült, hogy az ő története is megíródik. A második felvonás egyenesen kitépte a szívemet a helyéről.
Karen és Dino szívemnek csücskei. Nem győztek megríkatni.

Nem ez életem legjobb értékelése. De egyszerűen nem tudok érdemi dolgokat írni. Ha jót akartok magatoknak, azonnal elolvassátok Bethany-Kris összes könyvét.
---

I’m utterly speechless. I can’t believe Bethany-Kris did this to me again. She absolutely conquered my soul with this book. Again. If we take the emotinal things, I think it was her best book. I don’t know what should I say. Sorry, but this story just ruined me. In the best way. My tears are still dropping. But they are tears of joy, not tears of bitter. It was the perfect conclusion to the Chicago War series and to Dino and Karen’s amazing journey of love.

I can’t even describe how much I loved – how much I LOVE – these stories.
Dino was always my favorite character, and I was beyond happy when his story was announced.
And Part Two ripped my heart out of my chest.

Karen and Dino are my everything. They made me cry with every word.
This is not my greatest review. But I can’t form any rational words right now.

If you want something great and unforgettable, you have to read from this amazing author. Believe me, you won’t be able to stop.

Idézetek
****

When Dino DeLuca smiled, Karen had felt like she won a battle that day.
She had done something good.

Dino tried not to think of Karen Martin at all.
Except he did.
Every damn day.
All the fucking time.
He loved her, after all.

There was so much more to Dino DeLuca than what he showed.
No one truly knew.
Except for maybe her.

Dino cared.
He loved her.

He didn’t deserve her.
He was still going to keep her.
